Wilson – Funeral Services for Angela “Angie” Denice (McKinnon) Jackson, who passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 58. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson, with Rev. Mark Fuller officiating. Following the service, Angie will be laid to rest at Hewitt Cemetery.
Born on September 21, 1967, in Omaha, Nebraska, Angie was the daughter of the late Marvin Edward McKinnon and Brenda Carol (Phillips) McKinnon. Her early years were spent in Omaha before the family returned to Wilson, where they stayed until Angie entered the sixth grade. Subsequently, they moved to Rubottom for her middle school years, after which they returned to Wilson where she graduated.
Angie married Jay Jackson in 1988, and together they moved to Greenville, Texas, where they were blessed with a beautiful daughter. They later settled in Arkansas, where Angie pursued multiple careers. She completed training at several technical schools, becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Throughout her life, she held various positions including waitress, insurance claims processor, and receptionist in medical offices. However, her true passion lay in working as a veterinary technician, where she devoted herself to caring for animals, fostering many and helping them find their forever homes.
Angie is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Brenda; as well as her grandparents, Dexter and Jackie Phillips and Bob and Wanda Russell.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelli Sanner and her husband Jeremy of Wilson; her sister, Kelly Williams of Healdton; her grandchildren, Remington Gauge Sanner, Rexi Renea Sanner, and Rustin Wes Sanner; her companion, Brian Hutton of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and numerous other family and friends who mourn her loss.
Pallbearers will include Dylan Schaaf, Austin Williams, Frank Schaaf, Jeremy Sanner, Caden Cox, and Remington Sanner, while Rexi Sanner and Rustin Sanner will serve as honorary bearers.
Family visitation will take place on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
