Arzella "Dot" "Ross" Kinsey

November 21, 1922 — January 2, 2021

Healdton - Private Graveside services for Mrs. Arzella "Dot" (Ross) Kinsey, 98 of Happy, Texas will be at Mount Olive Cemetery with Pastor Rex Teter officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Arzella was born November 21, 1922 in Ringling, OK to the late Mr. Marvin Dillon and Mrs. Laura Dunman. She departed from this life on January 2, 2021 at her home in Happy, Texas.

Arzella had lived in Healdton from 1941 - 1991 where she raised her children. She moved to Canyon, TX in 1991 and lived there until 2015. At that time, she moved to the Texas Gulf Coast until September 2020 when she moved to Happy, TX. Arzella also called Dot by her friends and Grammie by many and was a force of kindness and good in the lives of her family. She called herself a "frustrated writer" and always had a way with words, words that often made others laugh. Arzella, also loved music, had a lovely singing voice, and played the guitar. She was awarded the Healdton Christian Woman of the Year and her example and love for Jesus is the legacy she leaves her family.
Arzella was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Healdton, Calvary Baptist Church in Canyon, TX and the First Christian Church in La Marque, TX.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Bill Kinsey; former husband, Park Ross; son, David Ross; siblings, Orvan W. Dillon and J.W. Dillon.

Arzella is survived by her children, Don Ross and wife Janice of Henderson, NV, Duane Ross and wife Linda of Santa Fe, TX, Bettye Lindsey of Newport News, VA, and JoAnn Ross and husband Bruce of Galveston, TX; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 4 step children, Billy Joe Kinsey, Sue Johnson, Paul Kinsey, and Donna Henderson, their spouses, grandchildren and great children; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Guy Coile, Ross Wilson, Ford Pierson, Billy Joe Kinsey, Paul Kinsey, Larry Vandiver.

Honorary bearers will be Carl J. Smith, Roger Wilson, Craig Ham, Aaron Ross, Jared Ross and Brace Mauzy.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations may be made to two of Arzella's favorite charities, Cal Farley Boys Ranch in Amarillo, TX or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
