Lone Grove

Lone Grove – Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Faye (Willingham) Lang, age 82, are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Country Tabernacle Church in Lone Grove, with Darryl Howard and Wayne Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Cheek Cemetery. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Mrs. Lang was born on October 29, 1942, in Grady, Oklahoma, to the late Grover Washington Willingham and Jonnie Elizabeth (Ellis) Willingham. She passed away peacefully at her home in Lone Grove on May 5, 2025.

Betty was raised in Ardmore and attended Plainview Schools. On November 21, 1962, she married Burney Clinton "Clint" Lang, Jr. in Ardmore. Together, they established their home on Cheek Road, where they successfully owned and operated Lang's Salvage and Lang's Conoco in Ardmore for many years. In addition to her entrepreneurial spirit, Betty contributed to her community by working at Best Yet Grocery and later at 1800 Flowers. She participated in the Tuesday Ladies Bible Study First Baptist Church of Ardmore and was known for her kindness, often baking for friends and family. Betty was a constant presence in the lives of her loved ones, attending all her grandchildren’s activities and sharing her joy of life with those around her. As a member of the Country Tabernacle, she fondly distributed gum during services every Sunday and Wednesday.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clint in 2008, and a grandson, Cole Holt in 2014.

Betty is survived by her children: Tom Lang, Clinta Taylor and husband Chris, Joann Holt and husband Gary, and Burney Clinton Lang, III and wife Stephanie, all of Lone Grove; her sister, Barbara Goss of Ardmore; her grandchildren: Thomas Clint Lang, Traci Harrell and wife Hanna, Taylor Smith and husband Ryan, Kyla Taylor, Matthew Holt, Sydney Holt, Rylee Lang, and Burney Clinton Lang, IV; her great-grandchildren: Arena Jackson, Cooper Smith, Howdy Jackson, River Smith, and Luna Holt; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
