Memorial services for Beverly Lynn (Bryant) Ellyson, 76, of Ardmore, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
Beverly was born October 14, 1950, at Fort Worth, TX, to the late Mr. William Arthur Bryant and Mrs. Frieda Katherine “Kathy” (Minderman) Bryant. She departed this life October 31, 2026, at Ardmore.
Beverly was raised in Lone Grove and Springer, where she attended school and graduated from Springer High School with the Class of 1970. During her junior year of high school, she married Don Pletcher, and together they began their family with the arrival of their daughter, Cynthia. They were later blessed with a son, John Paul. Years later, Beverly found love again and married George Ray Ellyson, and together they welcomed a son, Larry Don. Beverly devoted much of her working life to caring for others. She worked in nursing homes as a dietician, preparing meals for patients with kindness and dedication. For many years, she also served as the administrator for Heartland Plaza, an assisted living facility, where her compassion and steady presence touched many lives.
Her family was the center of her world, and she made that clear in the way she lived each day. She was always eager to be part of the lives of those she loved, whether that meant attending concerts, going on trips, or simply being present for every event and milestone. From the time her children were young, they knew they could count on her to be by their side. She was a proud mother and grandmother whose love was generous, constant, and deeply felt.
Beverly also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking, and tending to her animals. She was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan and especially loved cheering for Jeff Gordon. One of the most meaningful chapters of her later years was the close bond she formed with a sister she found around 2018. Beverly made many trips to South Carolina to visit her, and their relationship became a treasured part of her life.
Beverly will be remembered for her devotion to family, her caring spirit, and the warmth she brought to the people around her. Her life was marked by love, service, and the many moments she shared so wholeheartedly with those she held dear.
Preceding her in death are her parents, William and Kathy Bryant; son, Larry Don Ellyson; sister, Loretta Aldridge; son-in-law, Dale Faulkenberry.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Faulkenberry of Marietta; son, John Pletcher and wife Jazmyne of Davis; daughters-in-law, Tabby Stafford and husband James of Ardmore, Rachel Ellyson and fiancé Bryce Harris of Turner; grandchildren, Cheyenne Hughes and husband Brandon, Cierra Faulkenberry, Canyon Faulkenberry and wife Haley, Rhett Ellyson, and Trent Ellyson; great grandchildren, Cyenne, Cartlynn,Camlynn, and Robin; brothers, Jerry Bryant and Ron Bryant; special canine companion, Hazel; numerous other family and many friends.
