Billie "Dee" Dean Richardson, age 88, of Wilson, Oklahoma, passed away on January 29, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dee was born on November 22, 1937, in Loco, Oklahoma, to the late Belbert Haskell Airington and Ethel Eva (Welch) Airington.
Dee was raised in Alma, where she attended grade school before graduating from Velma Alma High School. At the age of 18, she moved to Ardmore, where she worked at the base in Springer for several years. On December 16, 1971, she married Johnny Robert Richardson in Gainesville, Texas, and became a devoted homemaker, establishing their residence in Pinto.
In the 1980s, Dee and her family moved to Wilson, where she dedicated many years to the Wilson School system. Her roles included Cafeteria Secretary, bus driver, and later substitute teacher. A passionate supporter of the Wilson Eagles and the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team, she cherished her role as a Nana to her grandchildren. Known for her warm personality, Dee had a remarkable ability to connect with others, making everyone feel valued and special.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Johnny R. Richardson, on November 6, 2019; her daughter Pam Kay; son James Taylor; sister Sharon Walker; and brother Leroy Airington.
She is survived by her son Johnny Richardson and wife Dana of Wilson; grandsons Tre and Landon Richardson; granddaughter Delaney Richardson; grandchildren Sandra McSwain and Chad Kay; three great-grandchildren; sister Pat Whitener; brother Haskell Airington; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in Wilson, with Zane Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Pallbearers will include Tre Richardson, Landon Richardson, Bobby Richardson, Clayton Cormany, Evan Wilkinson, and Frank Schaaf.
