Billy was born December 11, 1948, at Saint Jo, TX, to the late Mr. Richard Hutson and Mrs. Marjorie Faye (Gray) Hutson. He departed this life September 11, 2025, at his home in Wynnewood, OK.

Billy’s early years were characterized by adventures along the river, where he developed a love for the outdoors that would remain with him throughout his life. After completing his education in Saint Jo, he answered the call to serve his country. On August 15, 1966, Billy enlisted in the United States Army, dedicating himself to the principles of honor and duty until his discharge on August 14, 1969. During his service, he distinguished himself as a wheeled motor mechanic and received numerous commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze service stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and expert marksman training. Following his military service, Billy took to the roads as a truck driver, a role that allowed him to see the landscape of his beloved Texas while working in various capacities. His career was diverse; he deftly hauled everything from oilfield supplies to sheetrock. Billy’s work ethic was unmatched, as he was always willing to lend a hand and take on new challenges. Billy found joy and fulfillment in several hobbies. He loved spending time by the river, often camping and fishing in the tranquil surrounds of nature. An avid dirt track car racer, he showcased not only his competitive spirit but also his excellent mechanical skills. His craftsmanship extended beyond the racetrack; he had a talent for woodworking, creating beautiful projects from raw materials. In addition to his work as a truck driver, Billy spent many fulfilling years employed by North Texas Crush Stone, where he served as both a Heavy Equipment Operator and a mechanic. His contributions to the workforce were significant, and he was respected by his colleagues for his knowledge and dedication.
