Billy “Skip” Eugene Haragan Jr., 58 of Ardmore, Oklahoma, was born on March 13, 1967, in Hurst, Texas, to Mr. Billy Eugene Haragan and Mrs. Sharon Lynne (Hewit) Gower He passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Raised in Healdton, Skip graduated from Healdton High School with the class of 1985. Following his graduation, he pursued a career as a truck driver, attending truck driving school where he honed his skills. He found great fulfillment in driving for Dollar General and Wal-Mart Distribution, enjoying the thrill of traveling cross country. Most recently, he worked for Wal-Mart in Ardmore, where he continued to leave a positive impact on those around him. Skip was a true adventurer at heart. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle and relished the open road, taking every opportunity to travel. His love for exploration was matched only by his profound appreciation for his friends and family; he could easily light up a room and effortlessly make connections with those he met. Skip had a remarkable way of never meeting a stranger, always ready to lend an ear or share a laugh. However, it was his love for his son that defined his life. Skip was immensely proud of him and took great joy in every moment they shared. Faith was an integral part of Skip’s life, and he held a deep love for the Lord. He was also a proud Healdton Bulldog, showing unwavering support for his school and community. Skip will be deeply missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, adventure, and a love that touched many lives.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sharon Gower, stepdad Bob Gower, and stepson Johnny Lee Farrell.
Skip is survived by his son Brodye Haragan, of Healdton, Father Bill Haragan of Lone Grove, sister Sandra Pruitt of Oklahoma City, and loving friend Tammy Haragan of Healdton. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Cremation services are entrusted to the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Donations in memory of Skip may be made to the Healdton Alumni Association.
