Following his retirement, he dedicated several years to driving a school bus for Fox Public Schools, where he delighted in giving candy to students every Friday and attending their sporting events.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Hope, of the home; daughter Pam McKinnon and her husband Ronnie of Duncan; grandchildren Toby McKinnon and Heather Burleson both of Duncan, and Ryan Davis and wife D'Aun of Amarillo, Texas; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
