Carol Jean Bloomfield

Mrs. Carol Jean (Duncan) Bloomfield, age 76, of Wilson, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Carol was born on January 31, 1949, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to the late Mr. James B. "J.B." Duncan and Mrs. Onita Christelle (Henson) Stanley.

Carol was raised in Ardmore, graduating from Plainview High School in 1967 and married Ronald L. Bloomfield on October 23, 1971, at her parents' residence in Ardmore, officiated by Rev. James Mize. Together, they spent the majority of their lives in the Ardmore area. Carol dedicated 21 years to serving as a Librarian at the Ardmore Public Library before her retirement. An avid crafter and decorator, she enjoyed sewing and creating delightful decorations for various events. Carol also contributed her talents to her faith community at River of Life Church, engaging in puzzles and other activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather O.R. Stanley, sisters Linda Clayton and Judy Few, brothers Jim Duncan and Ricky Duncan, and her close friends Sandra Crump and Brenda Epperson.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Ronald Bloomfield, Sr.; her daughter, Jeanna Foster; her son, Ronald Bloomfield, Jr., and Michelle Glidewell; grandchildren Ashton and Tess Foster, Brittni Foster, Brook Bloomfield, and Landry Glidewell; great-grandchild Takoda; sister Nita Stubbs; brother, Tommy and Janie Duncan; sister-in-law Gwen Duncan; brother-in-law Dale Few; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson, with Rev. David Gardner officiating and Mrs. Barbara Flowers assisting. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Ronald Bloomfield, Sr., Ronald Bloomfield, Jr., Ashton Foster, Johnny Burris, Robert Flowers, and Landry Glidewell. Honorary bearers are Brittni Foster, Brook Bloomfield, and Takoda Foster.

Visitation will be held on the evening of Friday, April 25th, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
