Cheryl Lake

Cheryl Fincher Lake passed away on February 15, 2026 surrounded by family.

Born in Plainview,TX on May 31, 1950 to parents Wendell and Beth Fincher, Cheryl lived most of her life in Southern Ok, but loved her Texas roots. She loved to sing in church and at Saturday night County singing. She loved flowers and had many many house plants and flower gardens. She especially loved yellow roses and sunflowers.

Cheryl enjoyed spending time with family and sitting on the porch drinking several pots of coffee a day. She is remembered for her faith and trust in God, and love of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Larry W. Fincher and husband Walter Lake.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter Rhonda Ritter of Ardmore, son Wendell E. Thornton and wife Mandy. 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 special friends, Nita Holt, Liz Pugh, and Ronda "Sissy" McDaniels.

A celebration of life will be held at Hill Top Baptist Church in Kingston, OK. Monday February 23, 2026 at 3:00PM.
