Chris was born July 21, 1972, at Ardmore, OK to Mr. David Lee Norton and Mrs. Glenda “Kay” (Emerson) Norton. He departed this life Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Kingston, OK.
Raised in Wilson, Chris was a proud graduate of Lone Grove High School, class of 1990. Throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to his roots and community, embodying the essence of a devoted family man and a cherished friend. Chris's professional journey spanned 26 years at Michelin, where he dedicated much of his time to the master roll service department. His commitment and work ethic were hallmarks of his career, reflecting the integrity and perseverance with which he approached every aspect of his life. Family was at the heart of Chris's world. He treasured family gatherings, delighting most especially in the moments shared with his grandchildren. His love for the outdoors was well-known; Chris reveled in the country life, finding joy in hunting and fishing, exploring back roads, and appreciating the natural beauty around him. His fondness for stopping to pick fresh blackberries and admiring rocks speaks to his appreciation for simple pleasures. A true companion in life was Marley, his faithful Chihuahua and best friend. Together, they shared many adventures and quiet moments alike. Chris's spiritual life was grounded by his lifelong membership at Rexroat Baptist Church, where he found community and strength. On December 14, 2024, in Wilson, he married the former Ms. Crystal Chapman, forging a partnership filled with love and mutual respect. Chris and Crystal had a love for one another that they never knew before, they were best friends and had a relationship most couple dream of having. Known for his sweetness and warm-hearted nature, Chris was a man who never met a stranger. His sense of humor and playful spirit endeared him to those fortunate enough to know him.
