Cody Allen Brown was born in Duncan, OK on January 26, 1991 to Chris Allen Brown and Randee Karol Quillin. He departed from this life on November 1, 2024 in Wewoka, OK.
A life taken too soon and two words that come to mind is HE LOVED!
We could spend time recalling his accomplishments, the places he had been, or the dreams he was on the verge of reaching. But none of those would capture his essence. Cody's true self shone in his love for the outdoors, his passion for fishing and hunting, his devotion to OU Football (something he inherited naturally from his mom's not-to-small obsession), and his joy in family gatherings, video games, movies, and simple moments spent with his favorite people. But most of all, Cody loved his family - those he was bound to by blood and those he chose along the way. His love was steadfast, his heart open and unguarded. His generous spirit and endless patience were gifts he offered to all of us, always willing to be there when needed. All he ever wanted was to be with those he loved and who loved him in return.
Cody will forever live on in our hearts. We will miss him dearly, yet his memory remains a gift to everyone fortunate to have known him.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Gene and Joann Brown.
Cody is survived by his mother, Randee Quillin of Sulphur; father, Chris Brown of Pauls Valley; brother, Dalton McKee and Conner McKee; sister Ashlie Cottingham; niece and nephews, Maylee, Zane, and Dylan Cottingham; maternal grandparents, Wynette Nutt and Paul Quillin; and by a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dalton McKee, Conner McKee, Keaton Green, Skyler Davis, Jake Brown, and Jordan Broom. Honorary bearers will be Trevor Aldridge and Darin McKee.
