Colt Rydell Haynes

Colt Rydell Haynes was born on April 28, 1992, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He grew up in Wilson, Oklahoma, and passed away on July 8, 2013, at the age of 21 years, 2 months, and 10 days.

Colt was a talented mechanic who enjoyed working with his hands. More than anything, he loved being a father. His son, Jagger, was the greatest joy of his life, and the love he had for him knew no bounds. Colt also cherished spending time with his family and friends. He was known as the life of the party—funny, charming, and able to make everyone around him laugh—but he was also fiercely protective of those he loved. Whether he was outdoors, surrounded by family, or helping someone in need, Colt lived life with a big heart and an unforgettable spirit.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Rickey Lynn Haynes; his uncle, David Lee Haynes; and, during the years he was missing, his grandmother, Billie Carlene Haynes, and grandfather, Roy Lee Haynes, passed away while waiting for answers. 

Colt is survived by his beloved son, Jagger Cane Haynes of Marietta; his mother, Tamara Jo Marcowski of Ada; his sisters, Jamie Nicole Smith of Ada, and Monique Cherie Stewart and husband, Leslie Dan Stewart Jr., of Ratliff City; his brothers, Casey Warren Haynes of Ada and J.W. Haynes and partner, Kourtney of Wilson; his aunt, Linda; his cousin, Carrie and husband Siosi; his nephews, Jonathan Stewart and wife, Christin, Ethan Stewart, Jayke Haynes, Maddyn Haynes, and Kamryn Haynes; his nieces, Alex Smith, Hayden Stewart and fiancé Zach Jacobs, Anjelle Haynes, Macey Miller, Kylie Miller, and Kynsley Haynes; along with numerous other family members and countless friends whose lives he touched. 

Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who stood by us throughout the long years of waiting, hoping, searching, and praying for answers. Your love, support, and unwavering kindness carried us through some of our darkest days, and we will never forget it. 

A memorial service will be held by invitation only. This decision was not made lightly. Colt was deeply loved by so many people, and we know there are countless family members, friends, classmates, coworkers, and others who would want to celebrate his life. We simply fear there is no venue large enough to accommodate everyone who cared for him. We hope you understand and know how much your love and support have meant to our family.
