Wilson - Services for Corey Dean Tiner, 48, of Wilson, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the H2O Life Church in Ardmore with Pastor Chuck McKennell and Scott Renfro officiating and Rylee Tiner sharing personal comments. Interment will follow at Keller Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Corey was born December 10, 1977, at Ardmore, OK to Mr. Gary Dean Tiner and Mrs. Carolyn F. (Emberling) Tiner. He departed this life Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Healdton.
Raised north of Wilson, Corey’s roots ran deep in southern Oklahoma, where he attended Healdton schools and graduated with the class of 1997. Early in life, he distinguished himself not only on the basketball court, where he played with great heart, but also through his dedicated participation in Troop 43 Boy Scouts, culminating in his achievement of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. With a natural curiosity for life and a strong work ethic, Corey pursued higher education at Oklahoma State University. There, he studied animal science and earned his bachelor’s degree, preparing himself for a career closely connected to the land and animals he cherished. He devoted much of his life to farming and ranching alongside his father. Corey was known for his ability to construct almost any piece of farm machinery, and his skills as a welder were impeccable. Corey found joy in working with animals and raising his beloved blue heelers, the only breed of dog he ever truly wanted by his side. Corey’s love of family shone most brightly when he watched his children at their sporting events—always present and encouraging from the sidelines. Faith played an important role in Corey’s life, and he attended H2O church in Ardmore faithfully. Those who knew Corey remember him as a man of commitment and integrity, generous with his time and talents, always ready to lend a hand or craft a solution when someone was in need. Though Corey’s time was cut short, the memory of his steadfast devotion, and creative mind will remain forever in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Preceding him in death are his father, Gary D. Tiner; grandparents, James “Sonny” and Betty (Pierce) Emberling, T.L. and Willie Mae “Bill” (Fore) Tiner.
Survivors include his wife, Lesley of the home; children, Landon Tiner, Rylee Tiner, and Rebekah Tiner; mother, Carolyn Tiner of Wilson; sister, Amy Smith and husband Zack of Melissa, TX; nieces, Zaya and Amaylee; close cousins, Mika Tinline, Michelle Emberling, and Maci Tripp; numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michelle Emberling, Garren Gray, Matt Dickinson, Jimmy Sullivan, Mike Tinline, Zack Smith, and Zach Tripp.
Visitation will be held from 6-7 P.M., Monday evening, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
