Cynthia Faye Russell

Wilson- Cynthia Lynn Russell 65 of Wilson Ok was born December 12,1960 to Wayne Edward Russell and Pamela Faye (Burris) Russell in Norman Ok. She passed away on March 24, 2026, in Wilson Ok.

Cynthia was raised in Norman, Ok. She attended college at Oklahoma University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology. While enrolled she worked for the Oklahoma University Campus Police Department. After earning her degree, she worked for the Oklahoma University biology department. Later Cynthia returned to Wilson and taught school at Wilson and Thackerville. Lastly, she worked various positions for the Chickasaw Nation Department of Commerce.

She enjoyed her crafting and loved to knit and embroider items. She was a proud elder of the Chickasaw Nation. She was a talented Native American beader, and really enjoyed paranormal investigations.

She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Edward Russell, sister, Laine Russell.

She is survived by her mother, Pamela Faye Russell, nephews Christopher Cone (Liliana Renteria Mendoza), David Cone, Jason (Ronia) Russell, grandnephews Jamison Cone and JJ Russell.

No service is scheduled at this time. Cremation is under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home and Crematory Wilson, Ok.
