Simon - Funeral Services for Mr. Danny Keith Gray, 83, of Simon are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Alexander Gray Funeral home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will be at Simon Cemetery. 

Danny Keith passed from this life on Thursday morning, April 16, 2026, at his beloved home, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 16, 1942, in Wilson, Oklahoma, to the late Oscar “Os” Lee Gray and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Ann (Jones) Gray. 

Danny married the love of his life, Sharon Gray, on September 6, 1960. Together, they built a life rooted in family, love, and simple joys. They first made their home in Wilson, Oklahoma, later relocating their house—foundation and all—to family land on Simon Creek, south of Wilson.

Danny was an avid farmer and rancher with a deep passion for his cattle and his tractor. He loved his family with all his heart and took great pride in the life he built. He began trading cattle at a very young age, and by the time he married Sharon, he already had a herd of 19 head of cattle. Over the years, that herd continued to grow through his hard work and dedication.

Danny is survived by his children: Danna Denton and husband Gary; Shannon Lette and husband Gary; and Shane Gray and wife Stephanie Lott Gray. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jarred Morgan and Kim, Catlin Morgan, Danielle Young and Wes, Lacey Ficklin and Rocky, Tanner Hartman and Kassidy, Taylor Cooper and Dalton, Izzy Fortune and Bolton, Kaylee Hacker and Kyle, Dashane Gray, Caselin Gray and Jay, Destiny Dougherty and Danny, and DJ Dedek.

He is further survived by his sisters, JoAnn Kinney of Wilson and Carolyn McKinnon of Gainesville, TX; brothers, Roger Gray and wife Deloris of Wilson and Richard Gray and wife Darlene of Ardmore; great-grandchildren: Payton Byford, Shooter Byford, Liam Young, Jett Young, Lux Baker, Jax Morgan, Emma Morgan, Josie Morgan, Gracie Morgan Helm, Oliver Ficklin, Lennon Ficklin, Landry Hartman, Parker Hartman, Charlette Cooper, Riggins Cooper, Kyler Hacker,Kenzie Hacker, Klayton Covey, Ryley Dougherty, London Dougherty and Kenson Dedek; and great-great-grandchildren: Kymber Byford.

Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Juhree Gray; his parents, Os and Lizzie Gray;his daughter, Angela Juhreen Morgan; his son-in-law, Dale Morgan; his sisters, Ima Jewel Simmons and Bonnie Hodges; and his brothers, Jimmy Gray and O.L. Gray, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Tanner Hartman, Jarred Morgan, Gary Lette, Rickie Banks, Jamie Banks, Kyle Banks, Eric Banks, and Bronc Banks. Honorary pallbearers include Ernest Morgan, Jay Goode, James Blakely, Jax Morgan, Bobby Williams, Wayne Brown, Patrick Paul and Justin Kyle.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8pm Saturday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral home of Wilson.
