Danny Jay Morris, 79, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on June 1, 2026, in Oklahoma City. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling with Doug Epley officiating. Interment will follow to Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

Born on September 21, 1946, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and raised in Ringling. He pursued his education at Oklahoma Christian College and Central State College before developing a successful career as a general contractor. He earned a reputation as a skilled and respected builder of residential and commercial projects.


Danny was a man of many talents and interests. He found joy in spending time with his family, boating, fishing, leatherworking, scuba diving, hunting, artwork, and flying as a pilot. Above all, he was a believer in Christ. His curiosity, craftsmanship, and adventurous spirit were evident in all that he did.

Danny leaves behind a loving family, including his daughters, Danielle Lee and Genevieve Morris, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Velma Morris, and his brother, Kerry.

Serving as pallbearers will be Pug Allen, Trent Digby, Steve Taliaferro, Richard Lee, Joshua Lee, and Noah Barthel.

Danny will be remembered for his independent spirit, his many passions, and the legacy he built through both his work and the lives he touched.

"He who limps, is still walking." — a reflection of the perseverance and determination that defined Danny's life.
