Visitation for Deborah Nell (Summers) Rector, 58, of Milo, will be held from 10:30A.M. to noon, Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
Deborah was born March 4, 1967, at Pampa, TX. to the late Mr. Donald Edwin Summers and Mrs. Carrol Nell (Looper) Summers. She departed this life February 12, 2026, at her home in Springer.
Raised in the Texas panhandle, Deborah's early years were shaped by the loving support of Robert and CJ Monahan, who stepped in to provide her guidance after the passing of her mother when she was very young. She achieved her high school diploma from Fairview High School in 1986, a testament to her hard work and resilience. Her educational pursuits continued as she attended trade school, specializing in finances. Deborah dedicated many years of her life to working with home health agencies, where her compassion and dedication shone brightly. She married Mr. Flint Rector, and together they made their home in Mustang for approximately three years before relocating to the Milo area, where they established their forever home. As a devoted homemaker, Deborah’s greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She exemplified selflessness in her caring nature, always putting the needs of her family first. Beyond her dedication to her family, Deborah was passionate about animal rescue, striving to make a difference in the lives of countless animals in need. Deborah was also known for her eclectic interests, most notably her impressive collection of over 500 sets of salt and pepper shakers. She found joy in history, often exploring antique and junk stores, where she could immerse herself in the stories of the past. Deborah will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to both her family and her passions will continue to inspire those who remember her.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Donald and Carrol Summers; grandparents, Ray and Gretta Cotter.
