It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Debra Lee (Kolar) Colwell, born on April 19, 1953, who left us on December 8, 2025.
Raised in El Reno, Debra found love and companionship in Mr. Kenneth Colwell, with whom she shared not only her life but also a profound commitment to ministry. Together, they embarked on a journey of service, developing a church, embodying the essence of devotion both at home and in their spiritual endeavors. Her passion for the country life was evident in her love for gardening, where she found solace and creativity. Debra had a unique talent for crafting flowers out of copper, showcasing her artistic flair. An avid reader, Debra cherished the knowledge and stories found within the pages of her books. As a mother, she took great joy in nurturing her family, embodying the spirit of a devoted homemaker.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Kenneth Colwell; brother, Terry Kolar; sister, Delores Kolar.
Survivors include her children, Lisa Payne and husband Charly of Oklahoma City, Bethany Colwell of Denver, CO, Nathan Colwell and wife Jenny of Lone Grove, and Sutton Colwell; grandchild, Austin Payne of Oklahoma City; other family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Alexander Gray Crematory.
