Dona "Janie" Jane Harris

Healdton – Graveside services for Mrs. Dona Jane “Janie” (White) Harris, 78, of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wed. April 29, 2026 at the Mount Olive Cemetery of Healdton with Thaddeus Kassheimer officiating. Family visitation will begin at 11:00 am Wednesday prior to the service at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.

Janie White Harris was born on August 8, 1947, in Healdton to Monroe Howard White and Margaret Jean (Holder) White. She peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2026, at a healthcare facility in Oklahoma City.

Raised in Healdton, Janie completed her education there before marrying Gerald “Jerry” Wayne Harris on October 24, 1965, in Denton, Texas. The couple made their home in the Ardmore area and were blessed with one son, Chad Alan Harris.

Janie was a devoted wife and mother who lovingly cared for her family and home. She also extended her nurturing spirit beyond her household through her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant, caring for others in their homes. Janie found joy in creative pursuits such as making ceramics, gardening, and quilting.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Jerry, February 5, 2017; sister Debbie Couch and brother, Monroe White.

Survivors include her son, Chad Harris, Sr. and fiancé’ Angel Ayres of Ardmore; grandchildren, Chad Harris, II, Alexus Harris, Maddi Harris, Noah Harris and Jaylen Ayres; great grandchild, Shelbie Harris; sister, Sylvia Price and husband Ralph of Marietta; numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

Casket Bearers are Chad Harris, II, Noah Harris, Chad Carroll and Thaddeus Kassheimer.
