Ardmore — Graveside services for Mr. Donald "Donny" Brent Scott, age 67, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Seaman First Class Billy Turner Veterans Cemetery in Ardmore, with Mark Wiley officiating. Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson is overseeing the arrangements.

Donny was born on November 10, 1958, in Holdenville to Melford Leaman Scott and Margaret Louise (Robertson) Scott. He passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Marietta.

He was raised in Chickasha, later moving to Burns Flat during Junior High. A 1977 graduate of Burns Flat, Donny then enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably until his discharge in 1980. Returning to Chickasha, he worked alongside his father and brothers in farming and ranching. In 1997, Donny relocated to this area, briefly worked at the Dollar General Warehouse, and then joined Carter County District 2 of Healdton. Donny was known for his love of animals and care for them. His greatest joy was his son, Dillon, who was the light of his life.

Donny was preceded in death by an infant son, David James Scott, on May 27, 2001.

He is survived by his son, Dillon Brent Scott of Ardmore; his parents, Melford and Margaret Scott of Cement; sister, Jan Wiley and husband Mark of Ardmore; brothers, Ronny Scott and wife Cricket, and Jimmy Scott and wife Brittiny, all of Chickasha; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Casket bearers will be Mark Wiley, Jared Wiley, Ronny Scott, Jimmy Scott, Kirk Washburn, and Chance Scott.

Following the service, a reception will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Merrick Drive Church of Christ.
