Donna Oleta (Upshaw) Wright was born on July 18, 1961, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to the late Mr. Travis Upshaw and Mrs. Edna Mae (Weaver) Croy. She departed this world on July 17, 2025, in Wilson, just one day shy of her 64th birthday, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Raised in the Oklahoma City area, Donna’s journey was marked by kindness, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of life. On November 21, 1977, she married Mr. Robert Jerry Wright, with whom she shared an extraordinary bond of love and companionship that flourished over 47 years. Their partnership was a testament to devotion, characterized by shared adventures and the warmth of family. A woman of many talents, Donna found joy in needlepoint work and crocheting, creating pieces that reflected her artistic spirit. Her passion extended to the great outdoors, where she delighted in camping and fishing. Donna possessed a special talent for cooking; she would catch, clean, and prepare fish with an expertise that brought joy to every meal shared with her loved ones. The memories of countless camping trips across the country serve as cherished reminders of her adventurous spirit and love for nature.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Travis and Edna; sisters, Linda and Sharon.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Jerry Wright of the home in Wilson; children, Crystal Hector of Enid, Jackalyn Wright of Sulphur, and Jerry Wright of Sulphur; grandchildren, Danielle Wright, Robert Wright, Jaymi Evans, Jazlyn Evans, Keylan, Shontelle Wright, T.J. Wright, Michael Wright, and Grace Wright; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Larry Upshaw and wife Julia; sister, Debbie Nelson; numerous other family and many friends.
