Wilson - Graveside Inurnment Services for Mr. Edward "Alan" Haines are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 8, 2021 at Hewitt Cemetery with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Alan was born January 8, 1947 in Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Otis Haines and Mrs. Mary Virginia (Holmes) Haines. He departed from this life on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Alan was raised in Wilson attending school in Fox where he graduated in 1965. He attended East Central University where he graduated obtaining his Bachelors in Education in 1970. Alan taught and coached in Weleetka, Healdton and Marietta. After teaching for so many years, Alan worked in the oilfield and then worked in customers service department for David Stanley Chevy Dealership the last four years before his health would no longer allow him to work. During his illness, Alan expressed his optimism, determination, faith and love for others which has made an impact upon their lives. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and grandparents.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Sharon of the home; daughters, Stacey Tucker and husband Bryan of Yukon, and Monica Johnson and husband Brian of Oklahoma City; sister, Melanie Haines of Tulsa; 3 grandchildren, Brinlee Johnson, Braxton Johnson and Christopher Tucker; and by a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends before the service January 8, 2021 from 12-2 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
