In Honor of Edward “Nub” Claxton there will be a Come and Go Celebration of Life on Monday April 7, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Healdton First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Healdton. Nubbin joined the love of his life, Gloria Sue, in heaven on Wednesday April 2, 2025.

He served his country in the Army and Army Reserves as a tech sergeant with an honorable discharge. Nub then worked in the oilfield from pumping to services until his retirement when he settled into running a few cattle and traveling to see grandkids if he was able.
He is survived by his son, Tracey Claxton, of the home and his daughter, Angie and Joey Hudson of Rio Vista, TX. Six grandchildren: Jennifer Hudson and Mark Moncrieff of Denton, TX; Whitney and Kyle Larrison of Cleburne, TX; Derek and Shelbi Hudson of Floresville, TX; Cole Claxton and Bella Wagner of Killeen, TX; Jade and Jake Smith of Calera, OK; and Shaya Claxton and Colbey Stephens of Coleman, OK.
