Gary Leon Peacock

Ringling- Funeral Services for Mr. Gary Leon Peacock, 62, of Ringling are scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Bryan Plant officiating and the Eulogy provided by Nancy Killmeyer. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Leon was born April 28, 1950 at Weatherford, TX to the late Mr. Clarence Hugh “Snap” Peacock and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Shaw) Peacock. He departed this life Friday July 20, 2012 at Oklahoma City.

Leon was raised primarily in Cleburne, TX attending school there. He attended college at Okmulgee Tech where he studied Architectural design. He and former Elizabeth Eve Castleberry were united in marriage at Atlanta, GA and to this union came 2 children, Maryleila and Jerome Hugh. Leon worked as a carpenter, bricklayer and also designed sprinkler systems for many years. He moved to Ringling in 2007 and had been a resident of here since. He later married the former Theresa Ann Blain and she preceded him in death on December 22, 2011. Leon enjoyed being with his friends, riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Asphaltum Assembly of God Church in Ringling.

Also preceding him in death are his Parents, and a sister Patsy Overlin.

Survivors include Daughter, Maryleila “Molly” Painter and husband Ben , Son Jerome Hugh “Joe” Peacock, both of Ellijay, GA; Sister, Doris Hall of Grandview, TX; Brother, Don Peacock of Norman; 4 Grandchildren, Benji and wife Barbra, Sid, Frank, and Gracie; 1 Great Grandchild and numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Family and friends.
