Gequita Vaughn Douglas

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gequita Vaughn Henderson Douglas. She was born June 3, 1951 and departed this life April 13, 2026 at the age of 74. She will be remembered for her love for family, including kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids, her love for all things Tweety Bird, and her love for horses.

"Skeeter", as she was known by family and friends, is survived by granddaughter Cassandra Smith; granddaughter Gequita B. Smith; three great-grandchildren Ashlynn Tyson, Jayden Tyson, and Ryker Hyde; granddaughter Bonnie O'Neal, husband Derek, and great-grandson Sterling O'Neal, all of Thackerville, OK; daughter Jeanne Brown Turner and husband Terry of Sulphur, OK; grandson Tyler Turner of Ardmore, OK; grandson Chase Turner, wife Kealy, and Great granddaughters Jovie and Rubie Turner, all of Ada, OK; granddaughter Bekkah Moore and husband Nash of Pflugerville, TX; daughter Terry Harman and husband Shannon of Ardmore, OK; granddaughter Jurnie Harman of Ardmore, OK; grandson Johnathan Harman and wife Tayler of Lawton, OK; grandson Kristian Harman and girlfriend Graci King of San Antonio, TX; a son and three grandchildren; Emily Peterson and husband Wade of Durant, OK, Christopher Brown of OKC, OK; and Madeline Brown of OKC, Ok, sister Joyce Morgan of Longview, TX; Letta Morrow of Healdton, OK; and Best friend : Sarah Nix of Ratliff City, OK. Along with several extended family and numerous friends.

Skeeter was preceded in death by mother, Gertha Veletta Pressley Henderson; father, Oscar Lee Henderson; husband Robert Wayne Brown; sister Loretha Lawanda Collins; sister Trellis Imogene Moore; brother Ornal Lee Henderson; brother Dayle Lynn Henderson; oldest daughter Rebecca "Becky" Brown Smith and her husband Homer Nelson Smith.

The family thanks everyone for continued prayers. There will not be a formal service at this time.
