Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Guadalupe "Lupe" Miranda Rogers, 72, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, June 28, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Bro. Felix Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Point Cemetery of Wilson.

Lupe was born July 26, 1948 at Roby, TX to the late Mr.John A. Rogers and Mrs. Mary L. (Miranda) Rogers. He departed this life on Thursday June 24, 2021 at a healthcare facility in Oklahoma City.

Lupe primarily was raised at Rotan, TX marrying the former Emilia Dolores Chavarria on May 8, 1972. He worked within the oilfield and construction all of his working years moving to this area in 1990. They made their home in Wilson where Lupe was always well known and recognized throughout the community. He served as a handyman for several households and enjoyed being with his family and doing woodworking projects. Lupe was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and locally attended the First Baptist Church of Wilson.

His wife, Emilia most recently preceded him in death on February 24, 2021. Also preceding him were his parents and numerous siblings.

Survivors include his children, Norma Whitener and husband Daniel, of Wilson, Lisa Rogers of Wilson, Jacqueline Boring and husband Ray of Lone Grove, Catherine McDonald of Springer and Johnny Rogers and wife Gloria of Lubbock, TX; sister Eva Fritze of Sweetwater, TX and Francis Baptista of Rotan, TX; brother, Junior Rogers of Big Spring, TX; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers are Gary Whitener, Randy Brey, Patrick McDonald, Ray Boring, Daniel Whitener and Johnny Rogers.

Honorary bearers are David Hull, Clifford Carr, Trendon Smith, Ethan Welch, Dicky Welch, Haden Goode, Dillon Cobb, Brian Huckabee and Alec McDonald.

Family visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Sunday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
