James Robert Lucas

Funeral services for James "Bob" Robert Lucas, age 75, of Fox, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton, officiated by his son, Christopher Edmondson. Interment with military honors will follow at Graham Cemetery.

Born on December 20, 1950, in Ardmore, OK, to Raymond M. Lucas and Anna Faye Lucas, Bob passed away peacefully at his home on August 12, 2026. His early years were spent across the United States due to his father's Air Force career, eventually settling in Rancho, NV, where he graduated high school in 1968.

Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps starting January 8, 1968, in Las Vegas, NV, serving two tours in Vietnam before his honorable discharge on November 10, 1970. After his military service, he pursued a career in construction, contributing to the development of high-rise hotels in Las Vegas. On January 1, 1995, he married Vera Faye (Lesley) Edmondson in Gainesville, TX, and together they moved to Fox six years ago to care for Vera's mother.

Bob had a passion for building, motorcycling, fishing, hunting, and above all, spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Scotty Lucas, and his four brothers, Rick, Marty, Eddie, and David.

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife, Vera; his four sons, Christopher Edmondson (Carrie Beth), Bradley Edmondson (Brandi), James Edmondson (Whitney), Kevin Edmondson (Teresa), and his daughter, Carrie Austin (Jason); his brother Jeff Lucas; as well as 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Edmondson, Bradley Edmondson, James Edmondson, Kevin Edmondson, Jason Austin, and David Meyer.
