Mark Calger

James Mark Calger was born on September 24,1962, in Wilson, Oklahoma to parents James "Jim" Calger and Marilyn (West) Calger. Mark passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2025 at the age of 62.

Mark worked for several years as a truck driver, machinist, and a cook at various restaurants and quick checks in town, most recently Promart. He loved his customers and Promart family. Mark was a great cook, and many family members, friends, and customers could attest to that. Mark was always quick with a joke. He was kind, generous and had a big heart. Mark loved spending time with his family and his dog, Pixie. He and his brother Kenny were very close and shared a love of fishing. Mark spent a lot of summers out at Lake Texoma with Kenny and the rest of the family. He will be missed by many.

Mark is preceded in death by his father and mother, Jim and Marilyn Calger; brother, Kenneth "Kenny" Melton; nephew, Eric Cabrera; great niece, Jade Coffman. 

He is survived by three sisters, Susan Williams of Bristow, OK , Janet Cabrera of Healdton, OK, and Lisa Davis of Breckenridge, TX; six nieces, Tabitha and husband Jared Coffman of Healdton, OK, Franci Kilcrease of Mannford, OK, Penny and husband Joseph Minyard of Mannford, OK, Leslie and husband Aaron White of Comanche, OK, Pamela and husband Jesse Matthews of Healdton, OK, Staci Calger of Breckenridge, TX; three nephews, Xavier "Alex" and wife Stephanie Cabrera of Lexington OK, Daniel Cabrera of Healdton OK, Michael Minter of Burkburnett, TX; along with numerous great nieces and nephews.

Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Homes and Crematory.
