Jason Scott Cox, 55, of Wilson, was born June 5, 1970, at Ardmore, to Mr. Gerald Dwain Cox and Mrs. Janis Lee (Wilson) Barber. He departed this life Saturday, December 20, 2025, at his home in Wilson.

Jason's journey through life began in the city of Marietta, where he was raised and took his first steps into the working world by serving the community as an employee of the city. As he grew into adulthood, Jason moved to Burleson, Texas, seeking new opportunities and experiences, ultimately returning to his roots. Recently, he was employed by Wilson Saltwater Disposal, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic, having worked tirelessly for many oilfield companies in the local area throughout his career. Jason was a man of many passions. He had a natural talent for building, channeling his creative spirit into constructing projects that filled his life with purpose. His love for music brought joy to his days, while visits to the casino often added a sense of excitement to his life. The joy of his grandchildren illuminated his life, and he held a special place in his heart for them. In his final moments, Jason was surrounded by the love of his family, sharing this profound experience with Lisa Cox, his special love.
