Jerry Anthony Brewer was born on August 29, 1952, and passed away on July 2, 2026. Raised predominantly in southern Oklahoma, Jerry’s early years were marked by frequent moves as his family followed his father’s work in the oil industry. Despite the many relocations, Jerry ultimately graduated high school from Watonga. After finishing school, Jerry entered the workforce with determination, starting his career in the oilfields—a field that echoed his family’s legacy. Eventually, he found stability at Uniroyal, where he dedicated many years in the finishing department. His commitment and work ethic were unwavering, and when Uniroyal transitioned to Michelin, Jerry continued his service until his retirement in 2009. Jerry was drawn not only to hard work but also to service in his community. For many years, he proudly served as a Reserve Deputy for the Carter County Sheriff’s Office. This role reflected Jerry’s sense of duty and his deep regard for those around him. Those who knew Jerry understood his passion for the outdoors, he found peace and adventure in hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing pool and camping, and he was an enthusiastic supporter of the Oklahoma City Thunder, never missing a chance to cheer on his favorite team. Throughout his life, Jerry exemplified steadfastness, commitment, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Allen Brewer and Corine Strong; wife, Jeannie (Muncrief) Brewer on August 5, 2010; grandparents, Andy and Helen Shrader, Worny and Blanche Brewer.
