Johnnie "Sue" Glen Cooper

Mrs. Johnnie "Sue" Glen (Nelson) Cooper, age 85, of Ratliff City, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Duncan, Oklahoma. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Hennepin Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Mike Johnston. Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.

Born on June 22, 1940, in Pruitt City, Oklahoma, Sue was the daughter of the late Chester A. Nelson and Glessie Maybell (Martin) Nelson. She spent most of her formative years in Ratliff City and graduated from Fox High School. In the early 1970s, she pursued her passion for beauty and attended Beauty School in Clinton, Oklahoma.

In 1977, Sue married Charles Cooper, Jr. in Henryetta, Texas, and together they established their home on Ranch Road in Ratliff City, where they lived for 20 years. Over the years, Sue held various jobs, including working in a flower shop, co-managing a restaurant with her sister, and operating a beauty shop from her home. She had a creative spirit, evident in her love for making jewelry and collecting shoes. Sue cherished her relationships with family and friends, particularly her niece, Jayme Anderson, who provided her with care during her time in the nursing home. Sue exemplified a zest for life and was a member of the Ratliff City Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her son, Troy Moss; husband, Charles Cooper, and Danny Pat Ward and Dewayne Moss; her sister, Diana Moore; and brothers Charley and Jack Nelson.

Sue is survived by her sons, John Ward of Healdton and Randy Moss of Velma; her sister, Tammy Anderson and husband Larry of Duncan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will include Phil Stevens, Dustin Anderson, Danny Moore, Kole Anderson, Blain Anderson, and Chase Moss.
