Judy Kay Reid, adored Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, passed away on
January 22, 2026, at the age of 74. Judy was born on July 1, 1951, in Tishomingo, OK to
parents Victor Nathaniel and Isabel Jones Coleman. She graduated from Springer High
School. After graduation, she had various jobs including driving a school bus and an
ambulance. Her greatest began as a police dispatcher, graduating from Oklahoma Law
Enforcement Academy (Cleet Training) on June 26, 1992. Later becoming a Crime
Investigator for the Carter County District Attorney. Her greatest desire in her career was to
assist those who have been violated by criminal acts and criminals to receive the proper
punishment. She truly loved helping others.
While working she received many awards of those are, sworn in as a Deputy Special Officer
as a Federal Officer, Winner of the Annual Outstanding Victim-Witness Coordinator Award
for the State of Oklahoma, and she was a Trainer for Reserve Officers. She spent 9 days
following the Oklahoma City Murrah Building bombing. She assisted with the Medical
Examiner's Office & families of the victims of the bombing.
Of her many accomplishments her greatest was being the best Mon, Daughter,
Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Friend. She treasured all. She lives in
all our hearts and souls. She never shied away from giving you her advice even if you hadn't
asked but she gave the best advice she had, and you knew no matter what she was always
there for you! It was so hard to let her go but we know she loved the Lord and is no longer
suffering.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Glenn Reid, her parents Victor & Isabel
Coleman, Grandparents Young & Vivenia Coleman and William (Bill) & Alta Jones.
She is survived by her sons, Chris Anthony & Holli Anthony, Shawnee, OK and Chad
Anthony, Shawnee, OK. Grandchildren, Tristin & Riley Anthony, Kelby Gray, Blade & Katie
Gray, Carley Anthony, Caiden Anthony and great-grandchildren Layla Gray, Wrenlee Gray,
Cassidy, Kloe, and Elayna. Brother, Bill & Betty Coleman, Ardmore, OK and sister, Barbara
St. Clair, Ardmore, OK. Nephews Brett & Lisa Coleman and Jeff St. Clair.
Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home and Crematory in Wilson. No Services are scheduled at this time.
