Kay (Anderson) Whatley

Services for Kay (Anderson) Whatley, 75, of Ringling, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at the Assembly of God Church in Wilson, with Rev. Jim McGaughy officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Kay was born October 2, 1948, at Ringling, to the late Mr. Cecil Claude Anderson and Mrs. Clara Ruth (Gibson) Anderson. She departed this life Friday, April 26, 2024, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.

Kay was raised in Ringling where she attended school for many years. She married the love of her life, Mr. Aubrey Loyce “Junior” Whatley, Jr., October 18, 1965, at Waurika and finished her High School education at Wilson. Kay supported her household and family for most of her life by being a dedicated homemaker and housewife. She worked outside the home as a cook for Billy Haynes at the Donut Shop and drove for Red River Transport. Her most occurring position in life was her dedication to her husband, Junior. Kay was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Wilson.

Junior preceded her in death on August 10, 2014. Also preceding her in death are her parents, and younger brother, Danny.

Survivors include her children, Stacy Whatley and wife Kristi of Kingston, Susan Sizemore and husband Arthur of Wilson, and Greg Whatley and wife Kelly of Wilson; brother, Cecil Ray Anderson and wife Elsie of Duncan; sister-in-law, Jane Butler and husband Dale of Ringling; brother-in-law, Jeff Whatley and wife Robin of Wilson; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kody Whatley, Brad Whatley, Dalton Whatley, Dakota Whatley, Dustin Kale Brown, and Braden Whatley.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M., at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.
