Mar 5, 1957 — Sep 4, 2026

Services for Keith Douglas Bird, 69, of Wilson, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson, with Pastor Harold Higginbotham officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home and Crematory.

Keith was born March 5, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, to Eugene Alderman Bird and Marjorie Gertrude (Humphrey) Bird. He passed away at his home on September 4, 2026.

Keith graduated from Grady Spruce High School in 1975 and spent much of his life in Texas, including many years in El Paso and Anna. In 2025, he settled in Wilson, Oklahoma.

Keith was known for his talent for tinkering and his ability to fix just about anything. He enjoyed working with his hands, figuring out how things worked, and sharing that knowledge with those around him.

Two of the greatest passions in Keith’s life were mountain biking and motocross, and both became an important part of the bond he shared with his family. His love of motocross was something he shared with his sons and his brother, Phillip. From riding together and working on bikes to weekends spent at the track, motocross brought them together and created countless memories over the years.

Mountain biking was another great passion and became the source of many family adventures. Keith and his family traveled together to ride trails throughout New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Those trips were about much more than the miles they rode. They were about being together, taking on new adventures, laughing, making memories, and sharing something they all loved.

Whether he was riding a mountain bike, spending a weekend at a motocross track, working on something in the garage, or simply enjoying time with his family, Keith found his greatest joy in doing the things he loved alongside the people he loved most.

Keith’s generosity and willingness to help others were well known among his family and friends. If someone needed a hand, Keith was there. He was a devoted father who shared his knowledge, skills, and life lessons with his sons, Aaron, Josh, and Austen, as well as with countless others throughout his life.

His family, and especially his grandchildren, held a special place in his heart. Those who knew Keith will remember his love for his family, his willingness to lend a hand, his adventurous spirit, and the many ways he showed he cared through the things he did for others.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sons, Aaron Bird and wife Stephanie, Josh Bird, and Austen Bird and wife Hannah; his brother, Phillip Bird and wife Della; and his grandchildren, Preston, Olivia, and Nolan Bird, along with extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.

Keith leaves behind a lifetime of memories, lessons, adventures, and time spent together. From the trails and motocross tracks to the countless moments spent with family, the things Keith loved became experiences he shared with the people who mattered most to him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories made and the impact he had on those he loved will be carried with them always.
