Wilson - Graveside Inurnment Services for Mr. Kenneth Corrigan Kemp, 83 of Whitesboro, TX are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 1, 2022 at the Hewitt Cemetery with Bro. John Strawn officiating. The family will be having a visitation at 3:00 P.M. and a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 P.M. that evening at the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro, TX.
Kenneth was born December 1, 1938 in Wilson, OK to the late Mr. Oren Luther Kemp and Mrs. Oma Lee Hester Kemp. He departed from this life on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in Sherman, TX.
Kenneth was raised in Wilson attending school here. He then graduated and attended college at Murray State College and obtained his Bachelors degree at Northeast Louisiana University. Kenneth enlisted in the United States Army in September of 1958 serving honorably until September of 1964. After serving in the Army, Kenneth spent the majority of his life working in operation management for several different companies before he retired. He enjoyed high school sports and enjoyed going to all the events at the Whitesboro High School. He loved the OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys Football teams and going fishing.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Kenneth is survived by his son, Steven Kemp of McKinney, TX; 3 granddaughters, Chloe Robison and husband Micah of San Antonio, TX, Josey Kemp and Jacey Kemp both of Greenville, TX; brother, Larry Kemp and wife Guinn of McCloud; nephew, Jack Kemp and wife Acee of Norman; and by a host of other family and friends.
