Kenneth Ray Shrader

March 10, 1939 — June 8, 2021

Dixie- Graveside services for Mr. Kenneth Ray "Ken" Shrader, 82, of Velma are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday June 11, 2021 at Dixie Cemetery with his son Lonnie Shrader officiating. Family visitation will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Ken was born March 10, 1939 at Healdton to the late Mr. Vernon Henry Shrader and Mrs. Maudie Mae (Hunt) Shrader. He departed from this life on Tuesday evening, June 8, 2021 at Duncan Hospital.

Ken was raised at Healdton where he graduated from high school. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard serving honorably for eight years as a E-5 Sergeant. Thereafter he worked as an over the road truck driver and afterwards mostly in the oilfield residing at Velma. After retiring in 2001, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, mowing his yard and simply spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was of the Assembly of God faith.

Preceding him are his parents; sister, Judy Bolles; brother, Quincy Don Shrader and an infant son, Kerry Shrader.

Survivors include his children, Angie Wise and husband Darrell of Yukon, Kenny Shrader, Kevin Shrader, both of Duncan, Lonnie Shrader and wife Dana of Thousand Oaks, CA, Liz Herd and husband Brandon of Coweta and Doyle Shrader of Velma; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
