Kenny Thornburg

Kenny Thornburg, 71, of Healdton, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on March 4, 2026. He was born on October 14, 1954, in Byers, Texas, to the late Kenneth "Fuzz" Thornburg and Jewel Virginia (Humphrey) Thornburg.

Kenny spent his formative years in Ringling, where he attended school. Throughout his life, he dedicated a significant portion of his career to the oil industry. On December 16, 2000, he married Shirley Earlene Christian in Hennepin, who sadly predeceased him on January 7, 2018. Kenny had a passion for fishing, playing the guitar, and woodworking, pursuits that brought him joy and fulfillment.

In addition to his wife, Kenny is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Roger and Charles. He is survived by his sisters Kay McCartney, Judy Evans, Rita Eakins, Edna Hockersmith and her husband JP, and Linda Stewart, along with his brother Ronnie Thornburg. Kenny is also remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends.

Cremation services are entrusted to Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
