Memorial services for Kevin Michael Smith, 53, of Waurika, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Ratliff City with Rev. Mike Johnston and Rev. Glynn Baker officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home and Crematory of Ratliff City.
Kevin was born August 18, 1972, at Oklahoma City, to Mr. Rocky Dale Smith and Cindy Lou (King) Bailey. He departed this life Monday, March 30, 2026, at Oklahoma City.
Raised in the Countyline area, Kevin’s early years were shaped by his education at Fox and Velma schools, where he laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication and hard work. Upon completing his schooling, Kevin embarked on his professional journey with Well Tech, a position that ignited his passion and paved the way for a lifelong career in the oilfield industry. His commitment and perseverance in this field were evident throughout his working life, earning him respect and camaraderie among his colleagues. Beyond his career, Kevin held a deep love for the outdoors. Fishing and hunting were not merely hobbies but cherished pastimes that brought him immense joy. He found happiness in spending time with his grandchildren, treasuring those moments that created lasting memories and underscored the importance of family in his life.
Preceding him in death are his father, G.W. Bailey, wife, Athena; son, Sean “Jabo” Smith; grandparents, Irvin and Ida King.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy of the home; daughter, Jade Green and husband Steven of Waurika; son, Alex Smith of Waurika; mother, Cindy Bailey of Ringling; siblings, Donna Townsend and husband Royce of Ratliff City, Roger Smith of Oklahoma City, Char Lesty Smith of Kerrville, TX, and Charlene Smith of Aardmore; grandchildren, Ivy Berryhill and Lily Berryhill; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.
