Kristie Renee (Camp) Watkins

Memorial service for Kristie Renee (Camp) Watkins, 60, of Ratliff City, is scheduled for 4:00 P.M., Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton, with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating.

Kristie was born July 30, 1965, in Norman, Ok to Mr. Dennis Alan Camp and Mrs. Sarah Jane (Ward) Camp. She departed this life on July 20, 2026, in Ardmore, OK.

Kristie's early years were spent in Oklahoma City, Madill, and Ardmore until her family chose to make a home in the Fox area during her elementary school years. She remained deeply connected to that community for the rest of her life. Kristie was a proud graduate of Fox High School, Class of 1983. During her school days, she was an active and passionate member of FFA, where she dedicated herself to showing cattle, pigs, and sheep. Her love of animals was evident even at a young age, and it was a trait that carried through her lifetime. Pursuing further education after graduation, Kristie took some college classes before ultimately returning to Fox, where she married Roger Watkins. Together, they began a family and were blessed with two children, Lynsie and John. Devoted to her role as a mother and homemaker, Kristie poured herself into caring for her children. Those who knew her fondly recall how skilled she was as a seamstress and how she cherished the moments spent with her family at the lake, camping and fishing. Though she spent most of her time at home raising her family, Kristie worked for a short period as a waitress at Fireside Dining in Overbrook. Kristie’s compassion extended beyond her immediate family. She loved caring for animals and was especially devoted to raising and nurturing bottle calves. In her later years, nothing brought her more joy than watching her grandchildren play ball—those moments filled her with happiness and pride. Her life was marked by perseverance. Despite facing numerous challenges and physical limitations, Kristie showed remarkable strength and resilience. Her unwavering positivity, her ever-present smile, and her willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She never complained, choosing instead to focus on what she could give to her loved ones and her community.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Sarah Camp; grandparents, Alvin and Cleo Camp and Hays and Nora Ward; former husband, Roger Watkins; long time boyfriend, Jimmy Underwood.

Survivors include her children, Lynsie Watkins of Norman, John Watkins and wife Tara of Ardmore; grandchildren, Blake and Jace Watkins; father, Dennis Camp of Ratliff City; siblings, Karla Harmon and husband Michael of Sapulpa, and Kyle Camp of Ratliff City; nieces and nephews, Dane Harmon and wife Anita, Alissa Crabtree and husband Trae, Neal Harmon and wife Myra, Allie Deakle and husband Jack; special cousin, Kathy Epley; numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other family, and many friends.

Honorary bearers are John Watkins, Blake Watkins, Jace Watkins, Neal Harmon, Dane Harmon, Jack Deakle, and Trae Crabtree.
