Larry Wendell Fincher

Mr. Larry Wendell Fincher, 81 departed from this life on Monday, May 5, 2025 in Ardmore at the Ardmore Veterans Center.  He was born March 7, 1944 in Durant, OK to the late Mr. Wendell Errant Fincher and Mrs. Beth May Higgs.  Private Family Services are scheduled. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson. 

Larry was raised primarily in West Texas and Durant, graduating from Caddo High School in 1962.  On July 17, 1962, Larry joined the United States Army in Durant serving honorably discharged in Fort Bragg, NC on October 15, 1980.  Upon his discharge, Larry attended University of Oklahoma before he was called into the ministry in 1981.  He ministered for many churches before he retired.  Larry enjoyed fishing, dominos, and golfing.  

Larry is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughters, Kay Duttenhoffer and husband Cary and Kim Morton and husband Chad; grandchildren, Dara Duttenhoffer, Michael Morton, Sara Robinson and husband Christopher, Jonathon Morton, Christina Bergsma and husband Christopher, Tucker Duttenhoffer and wife Brittany; and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Fincher Lake; niece, Rhonda; nephew, Wendell Thornton and wife Mandy; close friends, Dan and Sharon Dodd and their son, Josh; and he will be greatly missed by his great friends and staff at the Veterans Center, especially his lunch gang and dominos buddies.
