Graveside services for Larry James Morrison, Sr., aged 77, will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the Bomar Point Cemetery Pavilion under the care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Velma.
Born on December 17, 1948, in Marlow, OK, to Mr. Columbus Junior Morrison and Mrs. Mary Ruth (Sullivan) Vandergriff, Larry passed away on September 15, 2026, in Duncan, OK. Raised in the Bray area, he attended school there before joining the U.S. Army in 1968. Larry served during the Vietnam War, where he served honorably in Okinawa as a postal clerk and Armor crewman, earning several decorations and medals.
Larry married Gloria Faye Maxwell, and together, they had three children. His career spanned nearly three decades at Sanner Salvage. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing and watching old western movies.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his daughter, Patsy Sue Morrison, on March 4, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Faye Morrison; sons, Larry J. Morrison, Jr. and wife Dana, and Eddie Morrison, all of Duncan; brother, Jerry Morrison; sisters, Francis Belvin and husband Danny of Durant, and Janice Dulworth and husband Dan of Duncan; six grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.
