Loco - Graveside rites for Mr. Lee Edward Wilson, 86, of Loco are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday Dec. 23, 2019 at the Loco Cemetery with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Stephens County Honor Guard Team. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
Mr. Lee Wilson was born on July 13, 1933 at Loco to the late Mr. Tommy William Wilson and Mrs. Dicie Mae (Quaid) Wilson. He departed this life on Friday December 20, 2019 at his home in Loco.
Lee was raised in Loco attending school there. He joined the United Sates Air Force on July 23, 1951 and served honorably until his discharge on July 19, 1955. He married the former Sherry Lou Abshire on May 1, 1955. They made their home in Loco, raising their children. Lee owned and operated Wilson's Well Service until 1986, and then continued to help his son Steve within Wilson's Well Service several more years.
Lee always enjoyed dancing at all the local dances. He loved attending the Moose Lodge of Duncan and was a proud Shriner, also of the Duncan Lodge. Lee and his family traveled many years to Branson where he loved spending time away.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife of several years, Sherry Wilson; sister, Cleta Bailey and an infant brother Coy Dellie Wilson.
Survivors include his son, Steve E. Wilson and his wife Beverly of Loco; daughter, Freda Moore and husband Glen of Loco; Son, Tommy Wilson of Rush Springs; Sister, Brenda Abshire and husband Joe of Alma; 9 grandchildren, Steven Wilson, Kendal Wilson, Toby Wilson, Lori Mitchell and husband Matt, Ivey Gatlin, Jinny Melton, Joanie Wilson, Mickey Moore, Tiffany Pogue and husband Shane; 19 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Timmy Branch , Steven Wilson, Mikah Wilson, Gabriel Bench, Darren Abshire, Cleon Bailey and Shawn Bailey.
Honorary Bearers Mickey Moore, Matt Mitchell, Beau Bench and the Grandsons.
Family visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm Sunday afternoon at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
