Graveside Services for Lindsey Kay Taylor, 45 are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 10, 2026 at the Hewitt Cemetery Pavilion with Marty Horn officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Lindsey was born October 16, 1980 in Ardmore to Ronald and Melinda Horn Taylor. She departed from this life on April 6, 2026 in Wilson.
She was a funny, mischievous child, full of energy and great ideas. Lindsey grew up in the old town of Hewitt surrounded by cousins who shared her sense of adventure and daring. Quite a chameleon, one moment she was playing house with the girl cousins and the next, riding down a hill on a go-cart with her boy cousins. Loved and cherished by all who knew her, especially her aunts and uncles, she had the best of all worlds. Lindsey attended Pocola, Lone Grove, and Wilson schools through the fourth grade. The rest of her schooling was done at home. During her Senior year she took Drafting at Southern Tech and was soon employed by IMTEC as a CNC Machinist where her brother, Daniel soon joined her.
Lindsey moved to Austin in 2000 and by 2001 was employed at PPD Development where she was trained to be a phlebotomist. By 2007 she had moved back to Wilson and returned to her job at IMTEC. Along with working, she attended Murray State College where she earned her Associates Nursing Degree. As a Registered Nurse she worked in the E. R. at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore from 2009 – 2012. From 2012 – 2015 she worked at Ballard Nursing Center in Ada, Oklahoma. From 2015 – 2019 She worked as Director of Nursing at the Wilson Nursing Center and from 2019 – 2020 Lindsey worked at the Healdton Hospital. COVID brought on many challenges and found her working in various medical facilities in the area during the next couple of years.
Lindsey took a hiatus from nursing for a few years and worked in various jobs in Oklahoma City and Sherman, Texas. She eventually turned back to nursing and was employed as a traveling nurse in Texas and Oklahoma. She also worked at the hospital in Madill and was presently employed at the Elmbrook Nursing Center in Ardmore.
Lindsey married Christopher Bryant on January 3, 2014 and the two had a child, Ava, who joined a big brother Brayden Bryant. Lindsey was a good mother and loved her daughter, Ava dearly. While living in Sherman she met and married Adam Kennedy on February 18, 2025 and had only recently moved back to Wilson.
Lindsey was a free spirit who found joy in almost every situation. She loved animals and would have had a houseful of both tame and wild varmints had her parents and spouses allowed it. She loved children and was often childlike herself. She was witty, intelligent, charming, kind, patient and loving. Everyone she met immediately became her friend whether it was a homeless person on the street or a politician at a rally. Her humor was off the charts and hearing her cousins telling stories together was the BEST. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
Preceding her in death are her Grandparents, Patsy Herell Horn, A. D. and Mavis Marshall Horn, Dorothy Taylor Shores, Erbie Taylor and father-in-law, Hillard Bryant; uncles, Kenneth Glover, Roger and Gary Taylor; and her beloved great aunts; Maudine Herrell, Maxine Clark, Ella Herell.
Survivors include her parents, Ronald and Melinda Horn Taylor; Brother, Daniel Taylor; daughter, Ava Bryant and step-son, Brayden Bryant; husband, Adam Kennedy; parents-in-law, Terri and David Kennedy; past husband, Christopher Bryant and past mother-in-law, Mary Bryant; aunt, Margie Horn Glover; Uncles, Scott (Janet), Dennis (Joni), Neil (Terri), and Marty (Karen) Horn along with aunts Janet Taylor Asbury, Pennye and Laurie Taylor and uncle Jackie (Brenda) Taylor. Lindsey is also survived by a host of cousins too numerous to mention all of whom she loved deeply.
Pallbearers will be Brayden Bryant, Daniel Taylor, Aaron Horn, Tyler Horn, Camron Brady, and Brady Conner.
