Mrs. Louise Ann (St. Germain) Mitchell, age 73, of Loco, Oklahoma, passed away on May 7, 2026, in Marlow, Oklahoma. She was born on January 20, 1953, in Eagle Lake, Maine, to the late Mr. Alfred St. Germain and Mrs. Laurine (Dube) St. Germain.
Louise was raised in Eagle Lake and graduated from Fort Community High School in 1971. Early in her career, she worked at the Converse Shoe Factory in Maine and later as a waitress in Ringling, OK. Her passion for the western lifestyle led her to relocate to Loco, Oklahoma, where she made her home for the past 50 years. There, she notably served as Mayor of Loco. Louise had a profound love for animals, with a special affection for horses and her beloved cat, Dolly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank Mitchell, and two brothers, Robert and Paul St. Germain.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her siblings: Fred St. Germain and his wife Pauline, Jeanne Congdon and her husband David, Lucien St. Germain and his wife Holly, Juliette St. Germain and her partner Luciano Velazquez, and Millie Daigle and her husband Glenn. She is also remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews, her caretaker Debbie Lockwood, close friend, Joni Ellett, and many other family members and friends.
Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home and Crematory in Ringling. Louise’s life and contributions to her community will be warmly remembered by all who knew her.
