Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Marilyn Jean (Powell) Clour, 71, of Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar-Point Cemetery in Wilson.

Marilyn was born May 27, 1954, at Wilson to the late Mr. John Vernon Powell and Mrs. Ruth Manona (Priest) Powell. She departed this life on Sunday morning on Dec. 7, 2025, at her home in Healdton.

Marilyn was a beloved member of her community, raised west of Wilson and attending school at Zaneis. She was the proud mother of three wonderful children and primarily made her home in the Healdton area. In a beautiful chapter of her life, she married Steven Don Clour on June 4, 1985, in Lone Grove. Together, they created a loving home in Nixa, MO, where Marilyn worked as a telemarketer. In 2019, they returned to Healdton, where they continued to share their lives together. Marilyn found joy in many simple pleasures, including online shopping, spending time with her cherished dogs, and being surrounded by her children. 

Preceding her in death are her parents; sister, Lavern Vansill and a brother, Johnny Powell.

Survivors include her husband Steve of the home; children, James Schoonover and wife Christie of Ardmore, Cheryl Gee and husband Audie of Lone Grove and Paul “Dinger” Schoonover of Oil City; grandchildren, Clinton Westenhofer, Ariel Eades, Jeremiah Schoonover, Jessica Chatham, Jessie Gee, Logan Schoonover and Adelyn Schoonover; great grandchildren, Carlie Mayo, Lydia Marris, Berkley Marris, Wylder Marris, EmmaRae Westenhofer, Graelee Westenhofer, Maxstan Eads, Asher Eads, Nova Rose Schoonover and Amyra Schoonover; numerous other relatives and friends.

Casket bearers are Dinger Schoonover, Audie Gee, Jeremiah Schoonover, Arlen Eades, Clinton Westenhofer and James Weaver.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 7pm Thursday at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
