Services for Mildred “Millie” Joy (Provence) Reinhardt, 93, of Ringling, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling with John Spradling officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery.
Millie was born January 6, 1933, at Reck, to the late Mr. Elmer Elbert Provence and Mrs. Merna Marie (Windle) Provence. She departed this life January 30, 2026, in Oklahoma City.
Millie's journey began in Center Point, where she embraced the joys of childhood and education before moving to Union Hill and later Claypool. It was in Claypool that her family settled in a house close to her beloved Papa Dickey’s Church, that stands to this day. After her family relocated to Ringling, Millie’s foundation was shaped by her father's diverse roles as a blacksmith, night watchman, chief of police, and eventually, a sheriff deputy. Millie commenced her formal education at Ringling Schools, where she thrived academically, graduating with the class of 1951. Millie’s early career began as a telephone operator, a role that spoke to her warm and welcoming nature but spent most of her married life as a devoted wife and mother. In 1950, she entered into marriage with Howard Rhone, a union that was tragically cut short when he passed away after an unfortunate accident on an oil rig. Left to raise two small children, with another child on the way, Millie's strength and resilience came to the forefront. In 1957, she found love once again when she married Jess Reinhardt, bringing forth the blessing of a fourth child into their family. Millie and her family moved between various states throughout their lives. However, in the late 1980s, she returned to her roots in Ringling, choosing it as her permanent home. A devoted member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Millie pursued her faith diligently, achieving certification as a Bible Scholar that reflected her unwavering devotion and love for Jesus Christ. Throughout her life, Millie shared a profound love for children, who were naturally drawn to her kind spirit. She was known for her sweet soul and a radiant smile that had the power to illuminate any room, touching the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Elmer and Merna; three husbands, Howard Rhone, Rusty Tabler, and Jess Reinhardt; son, Larry Dale Reinhardt; grandsons, Michael Thornton and Delbert Reinhardt; siblings, Elmer “Bunk” Provence, George Provence, Mary Belle Ketchum, Marvella Davis, and Roy Provence.
