Nichole Deanne Barrett

Funeral services for Nichole Deanne Barrett are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Healdton, with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Nichole, 54, of Healdton, Oklahoma, passed away on May 5, 2025, at her home. She was born on January 12, 1971, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Larry "Jug" Russell Pickelsimer and Pamela Lezlie (Green) Pickelsimer.

Nichole was raised in Healdton and graduated from Healdton High School in 1989. She furthered her education at the University of Central Oklahoma, where she earned her nursing degree in 1994. Known for her vibrant spirit, Nichole participated in rodeo activities during her high school years, including barrel racing and roping. She also enjoyed playing softball and basketball.

In her professional life, Nichole dedicated many years to nursing, serving as both a nurse and hospital administrator at Mercy. A beloved member of her community, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Healdton and also attended Milo Baptist Church. Nichole cherished her time at Lake Murray, where she created lasting memories with her children.

Nichole is preceded in death by her father, Jug Pickelsimer, in 2022, as well as her grandparents, Beecher and Gloria (Kirkpatrick) Pickelsimer, and Leslie and Elsie Green.

She is survived by her daughter, Abbie Schlotfeldt, and son-in-law, Carson of Sapulpa; her son, Wade Etter of Tahlequah; her mother, Pamela (Green) Pickelsimer of Healdton; her sister, Lisa Timmons, and brother-in-law, Art of Healdton; her brother, Deron Pickelsimer, and sister-in-law, Amber of Healdton; as well as her nieces, Caylin and Allie; nephews, Dylan, Caleb, Dakota, Dalton, Colton, Clay, and Nicholas; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will include Tyler Timmons, Dylan Pickelsimer, Caleb Pickelsimer, Dakota Pickelsimer, Dalton Gillihan, Colton Pickelsimer, Clay Pickelsimer, and Nicholas Timmons.

Visitation will take place on the evening of Friday, May 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.
