Ratliff City - Funeral services for Pamela "Pam" Jean (Jones) Smith, aged 68, of Ratliff City, are scheduled for Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Milo Baptist Church, with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Ratliff City Cemetery. The services are under the direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Pam was born on April 16, 1957, in Duncan, to the late Kenneth H. "Skinny" Jones and Jacqulyn "Jackie" (Dowdy) Brooks. She departed this life on December 17, 2025, in Healdton.
Raised primarily in Velma and finishing her high school years at Ardmore High School, Pam married Dennis Paul Smith on July 21, 1975, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Over the years, they lived in Wichita Falls, Elk City, and ultimately settled in Ratliff City in 1987. A dedicated mother and homemaker, Pam cherished attending her children's sporting events and activities. In addition to her family commitments, she became a certified Choctaw firefighter for National Forest Fires, a role that allowed her to operate in various National Parks. She also served as a nurse's aide to Dr. Bik for many years. Pam was known for her exceptional seamstress skills, her love of riding horses, arrowhead hunting, and her fondness for Dr. Pepper, with her family always at the forefront of her heart.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dennis, and her stepmother, Anita Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Stewart and husband Brandon; son, Drew Smith and wife Staci; stepdaughter, Brandi Burns; sister, Cathy Wylie and husband Randy; brothers, Kenny Jones, Dusty Pruitt and wife Julie, and Mickey Pruitt and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Caden Stewart, Matalee Stewart, Audrey Smith, Jaci Rose Smith, Maci Burns, and Gunner Burns; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Serving as casket bearers are Caden Stewart, Stacy Lewis, Ara "Rumpy" Bush, Nathan Wylie, Barkley Pruitt, and Todd Smith. Honorary bearers include Kenny Jones, Dusty Pruitt, Mickey Pruitt, Gunner Burns, and Jimmy Hoggard.
Family visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
