Services for Patsy “Pat” Louise (Longest) Morris, 92, of Ringling, will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Private interment will follow the service. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
Pat was born July 30, 1932, at Ringling to the late Mr. Herman B Longest and Mrs. Onie M (Slawson) Longest. She departed this life Wednesday, June 25, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, in a family home, at Ringling.
Pat grew up at Spring Branch on the Courtney Flats, south of Ringling. Her journey in education began in her hometown before her family relocated to Ringling, where she continued to pursue her studies. Pat proudly graduated from Ringling High School in 1950. On September 3, 1950, Pat married Emmitt Morris, the love of her life, and together they embraced a shared adventure that took them through various experiences and endeavors. Initially moving around for job opportunities in the oilfield, the couple eventually settled back in Ringling. There, they embarked on a successful path of self-employment, establishing numerous businesses that contributed to the local economy and community. From Morris Welding and Morris Trucking to a car wash, laundromat, and a cherished malt shop, Pat and Emmitt created spaces where the community could gather, and enjoy time spent playing pool and snooker ball. Pat had a zest for life, and her love for travel often led her to visit various casinos, bringing an element of excitement and joy into her days. Many fondly remember the delightful moments spent at their lake house in Lebanon, where Pat cherished time with friends and family, often enjoying music, camping, and fishing. Known for her unique wave around town, Pat also had a soft spot for her pets, frequently indulging them with ice cream from Swans Company. Pat found joy in crafting ceramics, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ringling, where she developed strong bonds with fellow congregants and participated in community activities.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Emmitt Morris; son, Micky Morris; newborn daughter, Marci Marie Morris.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Morris and wife Cindy of Ringling, Matt Morris and wife Dawn of Ringling; grandchildren, Scott Morris and wife Kim of Norman, Chris Morris and wife Jean of Ratliff City, Missy Thompson and husband Larry of Ringling, Emily Valverde and husband Martin of Wichita Falls, TX, Aftan Gay and husband Travis of Duncan, Ryan Morris and Emily of Pauls Valley; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; special cousin, Becky Atkins; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Scott Morris, Chris Morris, Ryan Morris, Larry Thompson, Barrett Morris, Dalton Morris, Josh Valverde, Gunnar Valverde, Aimery Brady, Dylan Morris, Clay Morris, and Cole Morris.
Honorary bearers are Corey, Koby, Avery, Adalin, Eli, Leighton, Dakson, Baylor, Tucker, Ivy, Braylin, Brooke, and Brittany.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Friday evening at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling.
